The words you use in your titles, subtitles and top paragraph copy are vital to the success or failure of your online business. If it does not get the attention of a fleeting visitor, you will not get the click-through and you will not land the sale.
What you write and the power words you use will either put the cash in your pocket and build the trust of your customers, or they wont. There is no grey area here. Words are SO powerful, they can be a thrill and a rush. They can also be deadly. (I mean, a well worded insult can get you killed!) Most of all, they can be dry and lifeless, and dry or lifeless, spells the end of your online venture.
The Internet is a giant field to play in, and the bulk of work at home businesses are small. Being good at using power words to write great copy is essential if you are survive the game. The power of the written wordthe copy of your pages that you put on the web is going to make or break you. Serious huh?
We cannot rely on a few images and a bit of automated software. In the end it is the amazing power of power words that will work for you. It is the words; the message you convey with those words that makes a customer trust you, buy from you, spread the word about you and come back for more.
The way you use or do not use words and the combinations you use to link them all together guarantee your success or failure. How good is that'? If you can master the right string of power words, success shall surey follow.
If you are not having success with your customers, then you are NOT conveying the right message. You are not being convincing. Perhaps you are not reaching out to your customers with enough of a personal touch. You need to talk to them as if you know them. In your minds eye you need to know who your customer is. Can you see your customer? How old are they? Are they men or women, teens or rebels, conservatives or millenium generation? You cannot talk to your customers if you don't know who they are. You cannot sell if you don't know who your target, or niche market is.
This is your challenge. To produce a message that will not only instantly attract, but will get the click-throughs, follow on to sales, and keep the cutomers not only coming back, but telling their friends and family about your site. THE WORDS YOU USE ARE THE CORE OF YOUR SUCCESS AND THE FOUNDATION THAT WILL ENSURE YOU A SUCCESSFUL FUTURE.
What a huge responsibilty! You probaby cannot afford a copywriter, or would rather not spend big money on it. So, it is vital to grasp this right here at this point.
Right - I have had my say! So, on to some words that will weave magic for you.
* The first kind of words we will look at are Action words. Words that imply something needs to be done. Words that will trigger a must-do response in your reader.
* The second set of words are hypnotic words. They are called hypnotic words because hypnotists use them. They are "feel-good " words, that make people feel good.
* The third set of words are the real power words, the Command words. The direct instruction that penetrates through any hesitation.
